#BelgianSummer: 9 brunches we love in Belgium
If there is one thing our team loves for sure, it’s the combo Sunny-Sunday-Brunch. Well, for the sun, let’s not forget we are in Belgium… but for the Brunch part, we have amazing places all over the country that you will definitely love to go to this summer! Here is our special selection of brunches not to miss for an amazing food trip in Belgium for the holidays.
Let’s start your food trip from the capital! If you are looking for the right spot combining great food and a large terrace, in a beautiful park, all in the heart of Brussels, you are going to love La Fabrique en Ville. It is one of our favourite place to brunch in the city and it is located in the Parc Egmont! La Fabrique en Ville is kind of the terrace and the garden you’re missing in your own apartment!
Address: Parc D’Egmont, 1000 Brussels
Le Garage à manger, it is first and foremost an excellent place to brunch and eat some organic, local, home-made food in Ixelles. Plus it is also a kid-friendly restaurant (we love it)! While you can chill seated on some comfy sofas and armchairs, kids can have fun in the caravan (it’s not everyday when children can play in a caravan designed for them). There is even the Pêle-Mêle bookshop where they can read fairytales and books. Definitely an incredible spot for an amazing Sunday brunch.
Address: 185 Washington street, 1050 Ixelles
If you are in Brugge, don’t miss Books and Brunch! We love the calm and relaxing atmosphere of the place which combines a secondhand bookstore and a brunch/dessert-eatery. You can be sure to find a book you will enjoy while eating: don’t worry, they also have books in English and French and from all genres of non-fiction and fiction. Once upon a time in Books and Brunch…
Address: Garenmarkt 30, 8000 Brugge
As you understood, the concept of Luv l’oeuf in Ghent is breakfast all day and at Imagine Belgium we love this philosophy! Marie from our team is fond of their delicious English breakfast! Let’s brunch in Luv l’oeuf this Sunday before they go on holidays! Don’t miss the opportunity to eat breakfast at 3pm!
Address: Nederkouter 30, 9000 Ghent
Are you on the seaside? Lucky you! Oode is one of the best places to brunch in Ostend. There is nothing better than a healthy breakfast before starting the day and enjoying the beach! And if you are a coffee-lover, you will be fond of their large selection of coffees.
Address: Aartshertoginnestraat 45, 8400 Ostend
The paradise for all cats-lovers is in Liège! Did you know that cat’s purring is recognized to have a calming effect on humans? You can enjoy a lovely purring therapy at the Merlix Cats Café! All the cats actually come from the shelter for abandoned animals nearby (Animal Sans Logis). If you feel like it, you can also adopt a cat from the Merlix. We almost forgot to tell you about their super tasty smoothies and Japanese pancakes! Meow!
Address: Rue des clarisses 50, 4000 Liège
We couldn’t talk about Liège without mentioning the Brasserie Curtius, its terraces and its lovely atmosphere that makes the place so popular! If you are visiting the “Cité Ardente”, you will probably walk the 374 steps of the Montagne de Bueren. So why not giving yourself a little treat with a tasty brunch at Brasserie Curtius after your morning fitness? Brunch approval guaranteed!

Talking about brasserie, here is another one you will love in Namur! The Parisian-style Brasserie François is the place to be in the city! You will love it for its prestigious dining room and for its sunny terrace in the summer! And you will certainly fall in love for the quality of their brunch!

Cocotte feels like home! So you can help yourself and taste all the food you want right from the “cocottes” (casseroles) of the buffet. It’s all about seasonal, local and healthy food and it is super good! If you pass by Mons this weekend, book your brunch in Cocotte!
